Jaguar's Design Director, Ian Callum, has won the inaugural 'Person of the Year' award at the Auto Express Awards 2009, while one of his most successful designs to date - the Jaguar XF - has been hailed 'Best Executive Car' for the second year running.

FASTEST MAN ON EARTH DRIVES FASTEST JAGUAR EVER
AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2009

Wing Commander Andy Green OBE - the fastest man on earth and the World Land Speed Record Holder – drove up Goodwood's famous hill yesterday in Jaguar's fastest car ever, the XFR Prototype* that recorded 225.675mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats towards the end of last year.

FIRST JAGUAR LAND ROVER SHOWROOM OPENS IN INDIA

Jaguar Land Rover's official entry to the fast-growing Indian car market was marked today by the opening of a flagship showroom facility at Ceejay House in Mumbai by Mr. Ratan N. Tata, Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Motors.

The Jaguar XF has won the award for Best Executive Car at the 2009 Fleet World Honours, proving the growing popularity of Jaguar's new sports saloon amongst the business community. The trophy was presented at a special ceremony held at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall on Wednesday 20 May.

 

 

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed that it is to begin selling its range of premium performance saloon cars and sports utility vehicles in the Indian market later this year and has today reached agreement with Tata Motors Limited to be the exclusive importer.
